General Notes: Husband - Hon. William McIntyre


He was three and a half years of age when his father moved to a farm two miles north of Sharon, Pennsylvania, where the family lived until 1891, when they removed to Sharon. He attended the common schools of his home district and when old enough he joined his father in the contracting business and also learned the brick mason's trade. The firm was William McIntyre & Sons and was established in 1889, the members of which were Robert and William, after their father was deceased.
In his political views Mr. McIntyre was of the Democratic party was elected burgess of Sharon in February, 1900, and to a seat in the lower house of the Pennsylvania legislature in the fall of 1906. In his fraternal society relations he stands as a high Mason, belonging to the thirty-second degree of that most ancient and honorable order. He belongs to the Scottish Rite Masons in Pittsburg and Sharon. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows' fraternity, and also held a membership with the more modern order the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
