General Notes: Husband - L. McIntosh


He learned the shoemaker's trade in his native home, and conducted a successful business there previous to coming to America, in 1838. He located in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, where he carried on a shoe business for twenty-eight years. In 1873 he purchased land in Shaler township, Allegheny County, where he then resided.

His first wife was the mother of seven children, three of whom survived her.
