He was a graduate of Cochranton State Normal and taught four terms at the Drake and Mallory schools in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. His advanced scholarship, his brilliant mind and his strong mentality and intellectual attainments won him an exalted place and the highest tribute of love and respect were paid him. But death claimed him when he was a young man of twenty-two years.
