General Notes: Husband - [Unk] Baldrige


He was a Scotchman, who moved to County Cavan, Ireland. He and his wife had three sons and three daughters. They came to America and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in 1745.

. . . a daughter of Sir James Holmes, governor of Belfast, Ireland, who married William Baldrige, a Welsh merchant tailor, against the wishes of her parents. Finding them obdurate, the young couple came to America and settled in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where they were laid to rest many years ago. [HAC 1914, 513]
