General Notes: Husband - David McFate


He and his wife had four children; two died in infancy. They were members of the United Presbyterian Church of Cochranton, Pennsylvania. Politically he was a Republican. He had a farm of sixty-five acres, on which he had a splendid residence and where he made good improvements.

With the rest of his family, he moved to Cochranton from Venango County soon after the Civil War. He and his wife joined the Cochranton U. P. Church June 21, 1867. He purchased a home in East Fairfield Township, Crawford County.


General Notes: Wife - Margaret McFate


When about sixteen years of age she came to America with her sister Letitia and her brother Robert. Six years later she came to Venango County, PA, having located temporarily in Philadelphia.
