DuBois, Clearfield Co, PA - a merchant

He began his education in the common schools, but later attended the Bellview Academy, and the Dayton Academy of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. After teaching for two terms in the public schools, he was in the employ of Kilburn, in New Hampshire for two years, and then entered the Commercial College at Poughkeepsie, New York, graduating there in 1893.
