Franklin, March 24.\emdash The funeral of the late Riley M. McDowell took place on Tuesday afternoon. Following a short prayer service at the house at 1 o'clock, the services were held at Pleasantview church at 2:30, with Rev. P. N. Osborne in charge of the former and Rev. Homer B. Davis of the latter. Interment was in Amity cemetery, with the following pallbearers: Herman Walters, Harry Smith, Fred Smith, Floyd Smith, Frank Smith and Carl Smith.
