General Notes: Husband - William J. Wilson

---

He was reared on the farm; he secured a good common school education and in the main followed farm pursuits. As an agriculturist he was progressive and fully up-to-date and was well rewarded for his labors. In 1900 he was one of the promoters of the People's National Bank, of Grove City, was elected a director of it at its organization and continued to be a director till 1903. When the bank was taken over by the Savings and Trust Company he severed his connection with it. He then became a stockholder in the First National Bank, of Grove City, was elected a director and continued to serve the bank in that capacity thereafter.
Mr. Wilson and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church. In political views Mr. Wilson was a staunch Republican. While never aspiring to political office, since returning to the township in 1897 he was elected to offices four times, but only accepted two of them, serving as township assessor.
