General Notes: Husband - Edward Howard McCune

He received his education in the Fayette City high school, Indiana State Normal school, California State Normal school and Washington and Jefferson college. He began reading medicine under Dr. J. H. Gordon, of Belle Vernon, but his health failing he gave up medicine and learned glass cutting, following that for two years. He then secured a position as bookkeeper for the Jutte Coal Company, remained there two years and was then elected one of the board of county auditors, serving in that capacity also two years, when he resigned to take the postmastership at Fayette City, to which he was appointed June 15, 1898.
