General Notes: Husband - Patrick McCullough

At the age of eighteen years he came to America, locating in Somerset township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he purchased 600 acres of land and made a permanent home. He was actively interested in religious work, and was the first elder of the Presbyterian Church at Pigeon Creek. He was an enterprising man, and in politics voted with the Whig party.

He was a native of County Antrim, Ireland, and was eighteen years old when he came to America. At that time he located in Somerset Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he became possessed of some 600 acres. Of this he received a patent for 439¼ acres, this document bearing date of March 4, 1786. The warrant for the land was October 29, 1784.
