General Notes: Husband - John Speer


He grew to manhood in Robinson township, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, inheriting a part of his father's farm, on which he spent his life. To this he added by purchase and on his land built a substantial brick farm house. He conducted general farming operations and prospered in all his undertakings. He was a Republican in politics, served the town as assessor, and was a member of Forest Grove Presbyterian Church.
