General Notes: Husband - Everett N. Phillips

He was graduated in the class of 1889, from the Pittsburg Academy and afterward, for about five years, engaged in teaching school in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He then embarked in the undertaking business at Coraopolis, Allegheny County, which he continued there for eight years. He was a graduate of the Pittsburg Embalming School. He came to Hickory, Washington County, in March, 1907, and became known all through that part of the county and received calls from a number of the large boroughs.

For a short time after marriage, he and his wife lived at Ingram before moving to Coraopolis and subsequently moving to Hickory. Mr. Phillips owned sixteen acres on the southwest side of the town, on which his brick residence was built. He planned to utilize a part of his land in poultry raising.
