General Notes: Husband - Samuel L. Weir

He was born, lived, and died on the homestead of his father on Chartiers creek, in Somerset township. He was intellectually strong, took an active interest in every object that would elevate and promote the welfare of the community in which he lived; especially so was he in everything that would tend to promote the glory of God, and the welfare of the Church of which he was for many years an active member of Session, the U. P. congregation of Pigeon Creek; in his liberality, spending of time and labor unrequited.
