General Notes: Husband - John McConaughy

He was born in Fulton County, Pennsylvania, but in later years removed to Westmoreland county, settling in Ligonier valley, where he followed farming very successfully. He was a member and elder of the Presbyterian church, a strong advocate of temperance, and a Whig and Republican in politics.
