General Notes: Husband - Robert Patterson

---

He was about three years of age when he came to America with his parents, and he was reared on the homestead farm. Upon the death of his father he took charge of one hundred acres of the family homestead as his share, and spent his life in its cultivation. He and his family were members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, and he was an active worker in church interests. For many years he led the singing at the "White Church." In his younger days he was a member of the Whig party, joining the ranks of the Republicans when that party was organized.
