General Notes: Husband - John Norris


At Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, he enlisted, in 1861, in the "Bucktail Regiment" under Col. Ed Irwin, and participated in all the engagements in which his command took part. At Antietam he was taken prisoner, and during his incarceration in Libby prison was nearly starved to death.
In 1887 he was elected to the Pennsylvania Legislature from his district.
