General Notes: Husband - Abraham Scott

He removed with the family to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he remained until the fall of 1781, when he returned to Adams (then York) County, and settled on the old farm his father had left in 1773. He accumulated considerable property and was regarded as a man of means.

When about twenty years old he went with his parents to what was then Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where his parents died. Returning to Adams County, he bought a farm in what is now Freedom Township, which he afterward sold, and then bought a tract adjoining, which was later made into four farms, one of which was occupied by his grandson, Washington.
