General Notes: Husband - Samuel B. McCandless


He served as a member of Company E, One Hun-dred and Third Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, but was taken prisoner at Plymouth, North Carolina, April 20, 1864, and after having been confined in the prison pen at Andersonville, Georgia, for several months, died at Charleston, South Carolina, October 29, 1864.
