General Notes: Husband - Conrad Shaffer


He was about twenty-one years of age when he came to the United States and settled at Pine Hill, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, from which place he later removed to Jenner township, of the same county, and there his death occurred. He was a farmer and rented farms all his life. He was also a carpenter by trade, and plied his craft with considerable success in his home neighborhood.

She was born in Germany and was six years of age when she came with her parents to the United States.
