After marriage, he and his wife settled at Nook, in the Tuscarora Valley, in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, where doubtless he and she died and were buried, although their graves have not been located.
From May 5 to Nov. 5, 1813, he served as corporal in Captain Matthew Rodger's Company of Pennsylvania Militia belonging to the regiment commanded by Colonel Reese Hill.
