General Notes: Husband - Simon M. Bair


He engaged in farming after arriving at manhood. In 1864 he enlisted in Company E., Ninth Pennsylvania Cavalry, remaining until his discharge, or the close of the war. He had 142 acres which he farmed successfully. He was a member of the United Brethren Church at Spring Run, and school director of Fannett Township, Franklin County, Pennslyvania. In politics he was a Republican.
