Carroll Twp, Washington Co, PA

He was born in County Down, Ireland, where he grew to manhood and was married. They came to America in 1811, and first settled on a farm in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, afterward locating in Washington County. He followed farming all his life, and in politics he was a Whig.
