General Notes: Husband - Samuel W. Rea


He remained with his parents on the farm until he attained his majority, and attended the district school in the township and Greene Academy at Carmichaels, Pennsylvania. He devoted his time to farming and the growing of fine stock, and met with more than average success. He owned a farm of 360 acres in Cumberland Township, Greene County.
In politics he was a Republican. He was school director in his township, and filled important offices in Carmichael's Cumberland Presbyterian Church, of which his family were all members.
