General Notes: Husband - John Hill Lytle

He was educated in the common schools. He grew up at home and from his youth worked in flour mills. The first mill of which he was given charge was Campbell's mill at Blacklick, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. This was a new roller mill furnished with the most modern machinery and equipment. He continued in charge for one year. At the end of that time he accepted an advantageous offer from William Cook, owner of the mill in New Alexandria. Mr. Cook died in 1904, after which time Mr. Lytle was in charge for the estate. In politics he was an ardent Republican, and his church membership was with the Presbyterian denomination.
