General Notes: Husband - John Lyle

He lived on the family homestead, a bachelor. He was county commissioner in 1822.

He lived with his parents during their lives, and inherited from his father the western one-half of the homestead farm. He never married and he died at the home of his brother, Joseph. His death occurred at the same hour on the same day as that of his bachelor cousin, David Lyle. These cousins were close friends. A common funeral service was held for them in the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian Church.
