General Notes: Husband - William F. Porter

He and his wife had five children, two were deceased before 1909.
He spent his life on the old homestead a half mile north of Sandy Lake, PA, doing general farming up to the spring of 1896, when he engaged in the livery business at Sandy Lake, in which business he continued until his death. He was a school director a number of years and was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, being one of the elders. Politically he was a Republican. [HMC 1909, 842]
