Wade S. Lusher
The sympathy of all our people is extended to Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Lusher, of the Boro, who have been called upon to mourn the death of their youngest son, Wane Samuel Lusher, whose death occurred at 8:45 last Sunday morning at their home in this place, after some ten days of intense suffering. The cause of death is given as cerebral menengitis, and from the first but faint hopes of his recovery were given by the several physicians and specialists who were called in consultation of the case.
Wade was born in Tionesta, November 10, 1906, and at the opening of the present term of school was promoted from room No. 2 to the third room, where he proved to be a very apt and studious scholar. He was also a regular attendant in J. A. Adam's class in the M. E. Sabbath school. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Forest D Lusher and one sister, Miss Mae E. Lusher, and a large circle of relatives and friends. His passing will be very generally regretted by a large circle of relatives as well as by a goodly number of his young friends and school mates. Impressive funeral services were conducted by Revs. Fred Smith and J. W. Hewit in the Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, after which the body was interred in Mt. Collins cemetery, the following school mates of the deceased serving as pall-bearers: Yale Wilson, M. C. Kerr, Charles Ellis and Donald McCoy.
