Rex was not actually a son of George and Charity but was a grandson. One of their daughters bore him out of wedlock and George and Charity raised him as their own son. He lived in Rockland, sharing a farm with his brother (uncle) Harry, for many years. In his later years, he lived in the IOOF home in Grove City, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
