Bouquets of white gladioli and daisies, palms, and branched candelabra formed the setting for the ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Sharron Westbrook, daughter of Mrs. Malcolm Westbrook, and Jon Lusher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lusher, all of Croswell.
The wedding was held in the First United Presbyterian Church, Croswell, Saturday, Aug. 7 at 8 o'clock. Rev. Grant Noland performed the ceremony.
The bride, escorted to the altar by her grandfather, Howard Mason, chose a floor-length gown of white embroidered organza over taffeta, with bateau neckline, fitted bodice, and long tapered sleeves, the skirt ending in a watteau chapel train. A cap of lace trimmed with pearl and crystal held her bouffant veil of silk illusion. She carried a white orchid with yellow center and stephanotis.
Miss Laura Beth Westbrook, Croswell, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was nile green sheer over taffeta, with scoop neckline,
fitted bodice, and floor-length A-line skirt. Her headpiece was a crystal flower with nile green veil.
Bridesmaids were Miss Beverly VanDine, Marquette, and Mrs. John Rennicks, Birmingham. Their gowns were identical to the maid of honor's. All carried bouquets of daisies.
Best man was Charles Milletics, Croswell. Groomsmen were Howard Westbrook, brother of the bride, and Arden Clarkson, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Frank Lusher, Jr., of Applegate, cousin of the groom, and Charles Stover, Jr., Croswell.
Shirley Westbrook, sister of the bride, was flower girl in a floor-length gown of white sheer fabric over taffeta with bouffant skirt.
Ringbearer was David Clarkson, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held in the American Legion Hall, Croswell.
The couple will reside at 85 Howard Avenue, Croswell.
