The woman depicted, however, appears much heavier than the one in other known pictures of Margaret (Troutner) Lusher. And if she died of "consumption" (tuberculosis), it is doubtful that she would have been of robust build.

J. W. Lusher, an old resident of Rockland, died at the home of his son, in Warren, Ind., on July 17th, in his 78th year. He lived all his life in Rockland except the last seven months. He leaves four sisters and three brothers; also, five children-Lincoln, John, Wilbur, Willis and Mary.
Interment was made in the Rockland cemetery on July 19th.

The funeral of Jacob Lusher occurred Monday at the old homestead in Rockland township. Mr. Lusher died Saturday at the home of his son in Warren, Indiana, from spasm of the heart. The body arrived Sunday night on the Lake Shore railroad and was cared for by Undertaker Byrer. Interment was made in Rockland cemetery. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W. J. Hewitt.
Jacob W. Lusher was born June 6, 1832, in Rockland township, where he lived continuously until going to Indiana about six months ago. He was very highly respected by the entire community as a man of upright character, and a good neighbor. He was one of the earliest supporters of the Prohibition movement, and scorned political crookedness. Four sons survive him, John, of Rockland; J. L., Wilbur and Willis, of Warren, Ind., and one daughter, Mary, at home. There are also four sisters: Mrs. Sarah Montgomery, Nickleville; Mrs. Miranda Forbes and Mrs. Almira Mouck, Mercer county, and Miss Martha, at home, and three brothers, Miles, of Seneca; Peter of Rockland, and David, of Ellwood City.

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Lusher, wife of Jacob Lusher, died on the 5th of consumption.
