Jack W. Lusher Sr.

Jack W. Lusher Sr., 78, of Washington, died at 1:44 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2000, in the emergency room of Washington Hospital.
He was born February 6, 1922, in Dearborn, Mich., a son of Ernest and Mae Burke Lusher.
Mr. Lusher was a member of Christian Church of North America and had served as an elder of the church.
He was employed as a mechanical assembler by Cooper Industries, formerly McGraw-Edison, in Canonsburg, until his retirement.
Mr. Lusher was previously employed at Hazel Atlas Glass No. 2 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On July 23, 1942, he married Mary J. Moore Lusher, who survives at home.
Also surviving are a daughter, Beverly Kisner of Claysville; a son, Jack W. Lusher Jr. of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Paul and Roger David Lusher; and a brother, Benson Daniel Lusher.

LUSHER - Friends of Jack W. Lusher Sr. of Washington, who died Saturday, September 2, 2000, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hummell and Barnhill Memorial Chapel, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, James E. Barnhill, director, 585 Fayette Street, Washington, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, with the Rev. John DePolo officiating.
