LINGERING ILLNESS IS ENDED BY DEATH
Miss Ethel Lusher Passed Away Sunday Morning at the O. W. Pollard Home.
After an illness of a little more than three months Miss Ethel Lusher passed quietly away at 8:00 o'clock last Sunday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. O. W. Pollard, on Tyler street. Miss Lusher, who had made her home at Rupert in recent years, was taken ill early in June. She was brought to American Falls by her sister about the middle of that month, and failed steadily until her death occurred.
Miss Lusher was born in Wayne county, Iowa, on Jan. 27, 1877, and had attained the age of 55 years, 7 months and 15 days. She was a daughter of H. H. Lusher and Louisa Lusher. About twenty-five years ago the deceased went to Butte, Mont., to make her home with her brother, and some three years later came to Idaho. She lived with Mr. and Mrs. Pollard at Roy for some time, and later resided in Salt Lake City and California. For the last three years she had made her home in Rupert.
Miss Lusher is survived by one sister and two brothers. They are: Mrs. O. W. Pollard, American Falls; Frank Lusher, Seattle, Wash., and Ray Lusher, Corydon, Iowa.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in this city at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. They were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Harry Fryer, assisted by Rev. J. L. Taylor, pastor of Bethany Baptist church. A trio composed of Mrs. F. W. Eggers, Mrs. E. R. Rowlands and Mrs. W. S. Fowler, accompanied by Mrs. W. C. Loofbourrow, sang "Nearer My God to Thee," "No Night There," and "Son of My Soul." Miss Lusher's remains were laid to their long rest in Fallsview cemetery.
