Theodore (Ted) J. Urban died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, November 29, 1974, at Bay Osteopathic Hospital following a one-month illness. Age 48 years, he was born in Bay City on March 7, 1926, and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of Mrs. Frances Urban, who survives him, and the late Mr. Leo Urban of Bay City. Ted Urban of Bay City. Ted Urban owned and operated the Brass Rail Bar, corner of Columbus and Farragut Streets. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church; and a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of V.F.W. No. 485; American Legion Post No. 18; P. L.A.V. No. 162; K. of C. Council No. 414; and Fraternal Order of Eagles. In passing, he leaves one daughter and one son; Mrs. David (Dianne) Brubaker and Leo Martin Urban, both of Bay City; 4 grandchildren; his mother; one sister and two brothers: Mrs. Leonard (Mary Jane) Covaleski; Joseph T. Urban, and Leon F. Urban, all of Bay City; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel; and at 10:00 a.m. in St. James Church. Rev. Fr. Cornelius McEachin will officiate, and interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Military rites will be under the auspices of the V.F.W. A prayer service will be held at the Trahan Chapel on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Friends may call there Saturday after 7:00 p.m.
