LUSHER-Calvin W. Lusher of 107 W. Locust Way, Homestead, died at the Homestead Hospital on Thursday morning, Jan. 15, 1959, following a lingering illness. Mr. Lusher was born in Akron, Ohio. He was employed with the Mesta Machine Co. in the machine shop until his retirement in 1957. He was a member of the Rockland Methodist Church; F & A M No. 582 of Homestead; Penna. Consistory and Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nella Smith Lusher; a daughter Mrs. Warren (Linna) Noal of Homestead; a son, Francis R. of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Lusher; Mrs. Roy Reecer Sr., both of Akron, Ohio; a brother Howard Lusher of Cleveland, Ohio and four grandchildren. Friends received at the Gillen & Coulter Co. where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday evening at 7:00 o'clock. Members of the F & A M No. 582 will hold services at the Funeral Home today at 8 p.m. Remains will be moved to the Burger Funeral Home, Franklin, Pa., Sunday morning where funeral services and interment will be made Monday afternoon.

Calvin W. Lusher
The body of Calvin W. Lusher, 67, of 107 West Locust Way, Homestead, Pa., who died Thursday in the Homestead Hospital, will arrive at the Burger Funeral Home Sunday.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 2 p. m. Monday with Rev. Richard Burns, pastor of the Rockland Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Rockland Cemetery.
Mr. Lusher was a retired employe of the Mesta Machine Co. and a member of the Rockland Methodist Church. He was also a member of the F. and A. M. No. 582 of Homestead, the Pennsylvania Consistory and the Syria Temple Shrine of Pittsburgh.
Surviving besides his widow are one son, Francis R. Lusher of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Linna) Noval of Homestead; one brother, Howard Lusher, of Cleveland; two sisters, Viola Lusher and Mrs. Roy Reecer Sr., both of Akron, O., and four grandchildren.

Burial services were conducted Monday in the Rockland cemetery by Rev. Richard Burns in memory of Calvin W. Lusher who died at his home in Homestead. Mr. Lusher was aged 67 years. He was a retired employee of the Mesta Machine Co. He was a son of the late J. C. and Minnie Berringer Lusher. He came to Rockland from Akron, O., with his parents while a small child and spent his childhood and early life here. He attended the Rockland schools and was a member of the Rockland M. E. Church. He was married to the former Nella Smith of this place who survives. Also one son Francis Robert of Baltimore, Md., and one daughter Mrs. Warren (Linna) Noel of Homestead. A brother Howard of Cleveland, O.; two sisters Mrs. Roy Resser and Viola Lusher of Akron, O., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Calvin W. Lusher, of 107 West Locust Way, Homestead, were conducted at 2 p. m. Monday in the Burger Funeral Home.
Rev. Richard M. Burns, pastor of the Rockland Methodist church, officiated. During the service, he read "All the Way, My Savior."
Interment was in the Rockland Cemetery with the following as pallbearers: Leonard and Leon Melat, Harry Sanford, Roy Manson, Walter Ray and George Lusher.

MRS. NELLIE SMITH LUSHER DIED MONDAY
Mrs. Nellie Smith Lusher, 71, of 312 Walnut Street in West
Homestead, died in the Homestead Hospital Monday morning. She had been a patient there for two months.
She was born in Rockland on April 3, 1891, the daughter of William L. and Sarah J. Roberts Smith.
She was married to Calvin W. Lusher on November 28, 1916. Her husband preceded her in death in January, 1959.
She had resided in Homestead for 20 years.
She is survived by the following children: Francis R. Lusher, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Warren (Lenna) Noal, of Homestead. She had two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Manson, of Brownsville, Ohio, and Mrs. Frances Crawford, of Emlenton. She had five grandsons.
Friends were received at the Burger Funeral Home in Franklin.
Rev. Elroy Sayers, of the Rockland Methodist Church officiated at services in the funeral home at 1 p. m. today, Thursday.
Interment was in the Rockland Cemetery.

Mrs. Calvin W. Lusher
Services for Mrs. Nella Belle Lusher, 71, of West Homestead, widow of Calvin W. Lusher, were conducted Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Burger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lusher, a former Rockland Township resident, died in the Homestead Hospital on Monday.
The Rev. Elroy Sayers, of the Rockland Methodist Church, officiated and during the services read the 23rd Psalm and several other passages of Scripture.
Interment was in Rockland Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Bob Manson, Gale Sanford, Leonard and David Melat, Bob Steffee and Leon Melat.
Among those attending the services from a distance were: Mrs. Bernice Manson and Robert Manson, Brownsville, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Reeser and Mrs. Viola Lusher, of Mogadore, O.; Mrs. Hazel Lusher, of Avon Lake, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Teetsworth, Warren, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. Lusher and family, of Baltimore, Md.; and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Noal and family, of West Homestead.
