LUEBKE - Rufus M. Luebke, age 57, died January 7, 1978 at his residence, 11416 Findley Lake Rd., North East. Son of Rose Schultz Luebke of North East. Beloved Husband of Margaret Luebke. Father of Ronald L. Luebke and Judy Wagner, both of North East. Brother of David Luebke of North East; Daniel Luebke of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Helen Snyder of Pittsburgh. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Bowers Funeral Home, 92 South Lake St., North East, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Mercer, officiating. Interment will be in North East Cemetery.

NORTH EAST - Rufus M. Luebke, fifty-seven, died Saturday at his residence, 11416 Findley Lake Road, North East. Born Feb. 10, 1920 in North East, he was the son of Rose Schultz Luebke of North East and the late Alfred Luebke. He was a Master Sergeant with the U. S. Army serving with the 112th Infantry, 28th Division, and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Luebke was an assistant foreman with the Electric Materials Co., for twenty-seven years, retiring in January of 1977. He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church where he was a past chairman of the Deacon's, a present Deacon and taught the Adult Shreve Sunday School class for many years. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Margaret Luebke; one daughter, Judy Wagner, North East; one son, Ronald Luebke, North East; one sister, Helen Snyder, Pittsburgh; two brothers, David Luebke, North East and Daniel Luebke, Ft. Wayne, Ind; and seven grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bowers Funeral Home, 92 South Lake St., North East, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend funeral services on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Mercer officiating. Burial will be in North East Cemetery.
