General Notes: Husband - David Hugh Neil

As soon as he had attained a sufficient age he entered the schools of his native village, where he pursued his studies until fifteen. He then accepted a position in a mercantile establishment in Greenville, where he worked the greater part of the time for five years, and also engaged in teaching to some extent. Learning the blacksmith's trade, he worked for his father until the latter's removal to Sligo in 1879, and then conducted the shop on his own account for two years, at the end of which time he purchased his father's furniture and undertaking establishment in Sligo.
