General Notes: Husband - Jacob Lower

The Lower family of New Bethlehem, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, was founded in an early day in Ohio, where representatives of the name long figured prominently in farming and business enterprises.

He was born and reared in Louisville, Stark County, Ohio. He was the owner of an improved estate of two hundred and fifty acres of land in the vicinity of Louisville, and in addition to general farming made a specialty of raising thorough-bred horses and cattle. He was a Republican in politics and although taking no part in public affairs, was very civic-minded.
