He enlisted in the Army Air Force, 1941, discharged, 1945. He received a BA degree from the University of Illinois in 1947, followed by an MA in Education from Stanford University in 1950. After graduating from Stanford, he taught High School brief­ly, then five years at Coalinga Community College, followed by 25 years at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. His specialty was electronics, concentrating on the practical side of radio and television communications. He wrote textbooks in collabor­ation with John Wiley, Reston and Prentice-Hall. He retired in 1981.
