Long-Wimer Nuptials Held In Knox Church
Marsha Yvonne Long and Willard L. Wimer exchanged wedding vows recently in the Grace Evangelical Congregational Church in Knox RD 1.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Long of Knox. Her husband is the son of Mrs. Lewis Rodgers of Franklin and the late Willard L. Wimer.
Rev. Maurice Friedlund officiated at the 2 pm double-ring ceremony on July 8.
The bride's gown featured a bodice of pink Polyester overlayed with pink alencon lace. The gown was designed with a softly-flared skirt.
Her illusion veiling was secured with a lace headband.
Matron of honor was Mary M. Long of Knox, the bride's sister-in-law.
James Davis II of Emlenton performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Jeffrey R. Long and Gregory E. Long, the bride's brothers.
Ringbearer was George S. Long of Knox, the bride's nephew. Her cousin, Melissa M. Long of Mercer, was the flower girl.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
The new Mrs. Wimer is a 1971 graduate of Keystone High School and a 1976 graduate of Clarion State College, where she earned a B. S. degree in elementary education. She is employed as a secretary for Dravo Doyle in Knox RD 2.
Her husband is employed by Arnco Construction Company of Butler.
Following a brief wedding trip, the couple will reside in Knox.
