General Notes: Husband - Jesse M. Long


He was a successful farmer and prominent in all the affairs of his locality for a number of years. He was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, and came to the region of Blacklick township, Indiana County, from Johnstown. He bought a farm of 136 acres, later owned by his son Jesse R. Long, and there passed the remainder of his days. He was connected with the Hopewell M. E. Church, and contributed liberally to its support. Mr. Long also took a real interest in public matters, serving as township school director for many years, and as supervisor of roads.
