General Notes: Husband - George Long


He served in the Revolutionary War as a private.

In 1800 he and his wife settled in Spring Creek Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, about three miles west of Garland. He built the first mill in the township; in 1808-9, he sold his property to Daniel Horn and removed to Pittsfield township, where he built a saw mill; here he continued to reside until he died.
He was in the Revolutionary War and received a pension; he was present at the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown.

He also owned about two hundred acres of land, and though he at first confined his attention principally to lumbering, he afterward cultivated a good part of his land.

He and his wife had a fam-ily of ten children.
