General Notes: Husband - Michael Snyder


He grew to manhood on the homestead farm and after his marriage lived seven years on the one hundred acre portion given him by his father. He then purchased the Lobaugh farm of one hundred and ninety acres and resided thereon until 1893, when he moved to Sligo, his residence until his death. He engaged in the coal business extensively and was one of the largest taxpayers in the county. In politics he was a Republican and always actively interested. He was a member of the state militia and served seven years in early life in the local regiment.
Both he and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church, he being an elder for many years.
