General Notes: Husband - Jeremiah M. Linville

He was reared in Donegal Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, but he obtained his education mainly in the schools of Independence Township. When he left home he went to Licking and Athens Counties, Ohio, and there spent thirteen years in the lumber regions, interested in the sawmill business, after which he returned to Donegal Township and resided there, devoting a large part of his time to his stock interests. On his farms were found registered Poland China hogs, Shorthorn and Jersey cattle and other stock of the very best grade. He was progressive in his ideas and as a successful stockman he was known all over the county. He make something of a specialty of sheep growing, keeping some 600 in his flocks, these also being of the kind that he found to give the largest return in fine wool.
