General Notes: Husband - Hon. Matthew Linn

"Linn Homestead," North Strabane Twp, Washington Co, PA

He was a Democrat, and held various offices of trust in his township; in 1840 he was elected county commissioner, during the building of the courthouse; from the age of twenty-two years until his death he served as a justice of the peace; in 1854 he was elected a member of the State Legislature, serving one term, and for thirty-three years he was in the State militia, in which he held every rank, in rotation, up to general.
