General Notes: Husband - Joseph Wallace [2] Robb

His elementary education was received at the common schools of the neighborhood, and he afterward became a student in the Allegheny City Academy. [CBRWC, 558]

He was a director in the public schools, and an office-bearer in the United Presbyterian church of MacDonald, Pennsylvania. He inherited the homestead of two previous generations, and was an enterprising and successful farmer. His farm was on the borders of the oil field, which did not made him a very rich man, but he had a snug income from that source for a number of years. He gave his chief attention to the sale of lumber and building materials at MacDonald; but for its educational advantages he resided at Washington, Pennsylvania.
