General Notes: Husband - William Liggett

He was born on a part of the family farm which he later came to own. He lived at home during his boyhood, and received a limited education in the rate schools, much of his time being employed in farm work.
Soon after his marriage he settled on the home place, where he carried on general farming and stock-raising, making a specialty of the wool-growing. He owned a large amount of land, and was one of the substantial business men of the township. Politically, he was always a Democrat, and both he and his wife were members of the Lower Buffalo Presbyterian Church, in which he was an elder.
