General Notes: Husband - John Osborn


After his first marriage he and his wife located on a farm in Jackson, OH. After his second marriage, he and his wife remained in Ohio until 1850, when they purchased a farm of 106 acres of Jacob Foulk, in Salem Township, Mercer county, PA, on which they settled. John had obtained his edu­cation at the common schools, and taught school a few terms. Politically he was a Whig and Republican.
