General Notes: Husband - Henry Harrison Stoner

He was educated in the common schools and at Mount Pleasant Institute. He went to Washington County, Pennsylvania, in 1882, where he engaged in the coal business for about four years. He then returned to the old homestead farm and gave his entire attention to agricultural pursuits. His farm contains two hundred and thirty-six acres, was situated four miles northwest of Scottdale, at Alverton Station, and was one of the best cultivated and therefore most productive in that section of the state. In politics he was a Republican, but never sought or held political office, preferring to devote his time to his business interests.
