General Notes: Husband - Cuthbert Hope Latta


He was contracting agent for the Chicago & North Western railway, and located at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was educated in the local public grade and high schools, completing the latter in 1886. His business career began with the Wabash Railroad in New York City, where he was employed in a minor capacity. He was promoted successively, with the New York Central, the Baltimore & Ohio, the Chicago & Northwestern, and the Lehigh Railways, in the traffic department of each. Returning to the employ of the Wabash, he was made, later, Southeastern Freight and Passenger Agent, retaining this position until 1917. In 1918 Mr. Latta returned to Greensburg, where he was associated with the Irwin Gas Coal Company. He later entered a managerial position with the Irwin Supply Company.
