General Notes: Husband - Israel Schucker

His early education was obtained in the schools of his native township, where he grew to manhood and engaged in the business of contracting and building. In 1873 he moved to West Clearfield to continue this occupation. He owned 113 acres in Lawrence township, Clearfield County, upon which stone of an excellent quality was found, and he opened a quarry there.
He served as a member of the school board; he belonged to the order of American Mechanics, and, while his family members were Lutherans in religious faith, he was a member of the German Reformed Church.

He and his wife had ten children.
